17-year-old Indian wins Miss Eco Teen Pageant

Cherisha Chanda, a 17-year-old Indian teenager, won the Miss Eco Teen Pageant, creating history. Miss Eco Teen 2021 from Vietnam, Beela Vu, bestowed the title on her.

Miss Eco Teen, the world’s largest beauty pageant, is headquartered in Egypt. The competition has 25 competing nations. Cherisha Chanda, the runner-up in Miss Teen Diva 2021, has been chosen to represent India in the Miss Eco Teen Pageant. The international pageant raises environmental awareness and collaborates with the current winner on a variety of environmental projects. The recipient is also given the chance to actively participate in UNEP.

Chanda was born into a business family to Rajeev and Saloni Chanda. She has been dedicated in her environmental programmes and charitable work to help those in need. She has participated as a speaker at World Environment Events. She also spoke at the World Environment Conference, co-hosted by Act Now and the United Nations Environment Programme.

When asked about her victory, she stated, “I am honoured to have been chosen to represent India.” There is no greater honour than winning for your nation. I don’t believe I’ll ever be able to articulate how I felt, and the truth is still sinking in. I’m sure I could accomplish it. Thank you very much to all of my mentors for your unwavering support during my preparations for the international pageant. I am grateful to my national director, Nikhil Anand, for believing in me. “My parents have always been there for me, and yes, I could do it for India.”
