A man in his 70s was hospitalised the other day after being attacked during an aggravated burglary in south Dublin.
During the incident, three other people were also detained without their will.
The injured man was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital after a number of men dressed as workers came to the house at Carrickbrennan Lawn in Monkstown at around 8.15 a.m.
According to the Garda, the men forced their way into the house and held the occupants there before taking a number of items and leaving the scene on foot.
As reported, the victim’s injuries are non life-threatening.
