A yellow alert has been issued today by the Met in five counties of Ireland

Dublin: The Met has issued a yellow alert for five counties in Ireland today due to the possibility of very strong winds.

A warning has been issued for counties Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Wexford, and Wicklow. The warning is in effect from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Met Eireann predicts gusty winds of 110 kilometres per hour in the east.

Meanwhile, rain is expected to return next week, raising river levels and potentially causing local flooding, according to the weather forecast.
