Professional consultancy firm Accenture and Global fintech and payments company Fiserv is to create 700 jobs in Cork, Nenagh and Dublin.
Accenture, which already employs 5,000 people in Ireland, plans to hire 500 more in the next three years. The roles will be in technology, cloud, security, strategy, and design.
The majority of the new jobs will be based in the Munster region, supporting the company’s activities in the life sciences sector, the company said.
The new regional hub will support company grow its existing capability at Enterprise System Partners (ESP). ESP is a consultancy and manufacturing services firm based in Cork that serves clients all over the world.
Accenture also announced that some of the new hires will be located in Dublin at the company’s innovation centre, specifically in the fields of quantum computing, quantum chemistry, quantum engineering, and quantum information science.
New positions will also be created at The Dock, Accenture’s R&D and Innovation Centre. Here they look for people with a variety of skills including visual, interactive and product designers, entrepreneurs and technical architects.

IDA Ireland chief executive Martin Shanahan welcomed the announcement saying, it “reinforces Accenture’s continued commitment to Ireland and demonstrates the confidence Accenture has in the highly skilled and talented workforce available in the Munster region.”
Fiserv, an American multinational, has announced the creation of 200 new jobs in Nenagh, county Tipperary, over the next three years.
The company, which provides payment and financial services technology solutions to businesses, stated that new roles in IT, including web development, cloud infrastructure, and data science, are being created.
Fiserv said the new move to expand is due to the growing demand for digital solutions among their clients and customers. The announcement is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
