Against HSE, an Indian Doctor in High Court

Dublin: An Indian doctor has petitioned the High Court, seeking a ban on the HSE from investigating allegations against him. Dr. Pawan Rajpal, a colorectal surgeon who has worked at Cavan General Hospital for 25 years, filed a lawsuit against the HSE.

Allegations of assaulting a hospital employee and issuing blank prescriptions are being investigated. Dr. stated that he had done nothing wrong. Rajpal elaborates. He also contends that the investigation is in breach of contract and against the HSE’s policy and procedures.

Dr., who is also a lawyer. Simon Mills is conducting the investigation on behalf of the HSE. The incidents in the case occurred in 2022. The HSE turned down the doctor’s request to halt the investigation. HSE’s lawyer had denied Dr. Rajpal’s arguments in court that the investigation was illegal and prejudicial.

The case was heard by Justice Brian O’Moore, who granted the HSE a temporary injunction order. The case will be heard again next week. Dr., who lives in Oldtown, Cavan. Apart from Cavan General Hospital, Rajpal has also worked at Monaghan General Hospital and Connolly Hospital.
