“Brexit can deliver benefits,” Sunak adds, as the UK Prime Minister refuses any alignment with EU laws

London: British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has stated unequivocally that no relationship with the European Union will exist. Rishi Sunak declared that he believes in Brexit. Speaking on innovation at the annual conference of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) in Birmingham, it was made clear that there would be no relationship with EU countries.

Brexit can deliver benefits. It is already providing significant advantages and opportunities for the country. Sunak stated that the UK will have no relationship with the countries under European Union law. Illegal immigration will be dealt with strictly. Furthermore, it is stated that skill emigration will be encouraged.

Sunak stated that the goal is to make the UK a true innovation island. It needs to attract the best and the brightest, he said, creating the most attractive visa regime to bring entrepreneurs and highly skilled people here. Artificial Intelligence (AI), for example, will be actively promoted. The best AI talent in the world will not be allowed to go to America or China.

Sunak is a supporter of the controversial Rwanda policy launched during the Boris Johnson government. This policy was to transfer refugees arriving in the UK on boats through the English Channel to Rwanda. This policy, which sparked much controversy following the intervention of the European Court of Human Rights, has yet to be implemented.

The CBI, which Sunak has previously spoken about, wants a new deal on immigration. Director Tony Danker stated that the agreement would allow economic migrants to work in the UK on fixed-term visas.
