Drogheda: Preparations are underway to repatriate the body of Vijesh PK (33), a resident of Kozhikode Puduppady, (Kerala), who tragically passed away in Stamullen, County Meath, Ireland.
Vijesh collapsed at his residence after returning from his night shift yesterday. Despite prompt emergency medical assistance, his life could not be saved.
As a valued staff nurse back at home, Vijesh had recently commenced work at the Red Wood Care Centre in Stamullen last December. His sudden demise has deeply saddened all who knew him, as he quickly endeared himself to everyone during his brief time there.
Tragically, Vijesh passed away while endeavouring to bring his wife from their native country to Ireland.
His body, currently at Our Lady Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, will be repatriated for burial today following the necessary post-mortem procedures.
