Covid control extends visa and IRP registration by one month; The Visa and Garda offices in Dublin have been temporarily closed

Dublin: The government has issued an order extending the validity of expired visas and IRP registrations by one month on August 18, 2020. Immigrants need not worry about renewing their registrations.

The new relaxation will apply to immigration and international protection permits that expire between August 20 and September 20, 2020.

With respect to the revised Public Health Guidelines, the government decided to temporarily close the Dublin Area Registration Office in Burg Quay and all other registration offices run by Garda Siochna.

It has been decided to reschedule the appointments made from these offices on August 19, 20 and 21, the authorities had also made it clear that further announcements regarding the functioning of the registration office will be made later.

All permits that expire between August 20, 2020 and September 20, 2020 will be automatically renewed for one month. The permit will be renewed on the same basis as that of the existing permit.

Previously renewed registrations with respect to government notices dated March 20, May 13 and July 16, 2020, and the ones that expire between August 20, 2020 and September 20, 2020, will now be renewed.

All updates in the Dublin area are being processed online. In addition, the registration facilities are available to all applicants at https://inisonline.jahs.ie from July 20, 2020.
