Direct flights from Ireland to India: A dream come true is just around the corner

Mumbai: There are indications that direct flights to European countries such as Ireland, which do not currently have direct flights from India, may begin next year. Marketing experts in the aviation sector are likely to start direct flights from Dublin to some cities like Kochi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, and Bangalore in 2024.

IndiGo has also announced plans to purchase 500 new planes to compete with Tata’s Air India. Indigo is also collaborating with Turkish Airlines to expand its service to Europe. Malhotra stated that orders for around 500 aircraft have been placed as part of the mega-expansion plan.

He stated that this would aid in the improvement of passenger services between India and Europe. Currently, 1800 flights are operating daily. Only 10% are operated on international routes. Current international flights are concentrated on the Indian subcontinent and other non-European countries.

Indigo has 27 destination points on its own, including Ireland, UK, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, and other companies in Europe. When asked why people should choose Indigo to travel to Europe, Indigo’s chairman stated that they provide better connectivity and lower fares.
