DUBLIN: People have already begun making plans for their summer holidays, as non-essential foreign travel will return next month. Ireland will resume international travel once the EU Digital COVID Certificate becomes effective on July 19.
Dublin Airport is ready to welcome passengers and has shared a few tips and reminders, as many people have not travelled in a long time.
The airport says the travel advice and entry requirements will differ depending on the country, therefore it has urged passengers to visit the Department of Foreign Affairs website as well as gov.ie.
COVID-19 testing
Many countries require a negative COVID-19 test report taken 48 hours before your arrival. Dublin Airport has advised passengers to book the test in advance.
Two private companies, RocDoc Health Check and Randox, offer RT-PCR and rapid antigen testing at Dublin Airport.

Arrival time
Arrive at Dublin Airport at least two hours before a short-haul flight and three hours before a long-haul flight. If you need to park your car, arrive 30 minutes earlier.
Public health measures
All travellers must wear a face mask throughout their airport journey, from arrival to exit. Staff are also obliged to wear masks where social distance cannot be maintained.
Passengers will be given sanitizer when they enter and exit the security area. They must also maintain social distance when queuing and moving through the security area.
Baggage and screening
Passengers must now scan their own boarding card upon entering the security area. Previously, it was done by an airport attendant.
Staff regularly sanitizes the security trays where passengers lay their carry-on luggage for screening. Hand baggage, laptops, electronic devices, coats and liquids must all be placed in security trays for screening.
Dublin Airport has reminded passengers to bring any liquids, sprays, gels, or pastes in a single, sealed 1 litre plastic bag, in containers no larger than 100ml.
