The Dublin Indian Students Community (DISC) is hosting a virtual career guidance discussion for those wanting to enter the Irish job market as well as those who are struggling to find job in Ireland.
DISC is a community that focuses on connecting Ireland students with current professionals in order to assist them achieve their career goals. At a time when even university graduates are experiencing difficulties finding a job, they are here to guide you in the right direction by providing “real-workplace experience, soft skills, and the references you need to get your foot in the door”.
The Ireland Students – Industry Connect live event, where experts share first-hand and unbiased insights, will take place on Sunday, August 8 at 3 pm (Irish time) on the theme, “Data.. Data.. Everywhere ..not a Data Professional Insight. Building a Career in Data Science and Analytics”.
Sourojit Das, CEng (India) Lead Assessor & Data Engineer with Code Institute from Trinity College Dublin, will be the event’s guest speaker. Mrunalini Mane from Technological University Dublin will moderate the discussion.
DISC started Industry Connect in order to assist current students in their transition into the job market. The community helps its members with minor things that they may not realise employers are looking for, and the real-world experience knowledge that they provide will make anyone “job-ready”, placing them ahead of others in the job market for future opportunities.
Dublin Indian Students Community, which started with five members in September 2018, currently has over 5000 members and followers on Linkedin and Facebook. The community focuses on providing first-hand and unbiased information on job search strategies, courses, and universities, as well as connecting Ireland students and professionals.
