Dublin Ranked Europe’s Third Most Expensive Capital for Remote Workers

Dublin: Dublin has been named the third most expensive capital in Europe for remote workers, behind London and Amsterdam, according to new research by digital bank bunq.

The study, which analysed rent, groceries, transport, and co-working costs across 27 EU capitals, found Dublin’s high rent (€1,889.29/month) and rising food prices (€304.77/month) continue to drive up overall living expenses, averaging €2,631.30 per month.

Despite this, transport (-10%), utilities (-12%), and co-working space costs (-24%) have all decreased since 2024.

In contrast, cities like Bucharest, Sofia, and Budapest emerged as Europe’s most affordable destinations for remote professionals, with monthly living costs below €1,100.
