Electricity charges for households in Ireland will be reduced, says minister

Dublin: Environment Minister Eamon Ryan said that in a few months, electricity bills for households in Ireland will be reduced. This is very good news for families who are suffering as a result of price increases and inflation.

During the press conference, the minister also stated that the rate is expected to be reduced by the autumn. The minister said that due to their dependence on fossil fuels, families have to pay higher rates for electricity.

Prime Minister Leo Varadkar has said the development of offshore wind energy will be Ireland’s greatest achievement of the 21st century.
