Dublin: In connection with an incident that occurred earlier this month, where a man was discovered with severe injuries in the Cherrywood Villas area on September 12, four teenage boys have been apprehended this week. The victim, a man in his 30s, remains under treatment at Tallaght University Hospital.
The arrests took place on Wednesday, September 27th, and Thursday, September 28th, as part of an ongoing investigation. The four teenagers were taken into custody under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in Dublin. Subsequently, they have been released without charges, and a comprehensive report will be compiled for submission to the Director of Public Prosecutions. Additionally, a file will be submitted for consideration regarding admission to the Garda Youth Diversion Bureau. A spokesperson for the Garda stated, ‘Investigations are still underway’.
