Tragedy that came unexpectedly

Solson Savier (34), of Benclody, unexpectedly surrendered to COVID-19. The day before he was admitted to the hospital, Solson had called her family home in Thuvvur near Karuvarakundu in Malappuram and inquired about their well-being. He told his relatives that his wife, Bincy, was infected and isolated, and that the virus was growing everywhere in Ireland, but he had nothing to fear.

Solson still did not know he was infected with the virus. He vomited for the first time on Saturday night, but he did not take it seriously. And when he vomited again, he was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.

Fate did not allow COVID infectant Bincy to accompany him on his journey to the Wexford General Hospital. He was given CPR and emergency treatment but was transferred to a ventilator as per the expert’s instructions.

After failing to respond to medication, Bincy was informed of the seriousness of the incident from the hospital. Following the intervention of senior officials, Bincy and his son were called to the hospital and were given the opportunity to say goodbye to Solson.

Solson Savier and his family, who had previously lived in Tallaght, Dublin, moved to Benclody, Wexford, two years ago. Solson, a staff nurse, initially worked at the Harvey Nursing Home in Dublin. Later, he moved to Gorey, Co Wexford.

The unexpected tragedy befell the family as Bincy, who is qualified as a nurse in India, completed her English language proficiency test after arriving in Ireland and was still trying to get a job in Ireland.
