Dublin: Gardaí have intensified their investigation into the shooting of an Indian man in a residential area of north Dublin and are appealing to the public for information and footage.
The incident occurred on Templeview Avenue, Clarehall, Dublin 17, at approximately 7.49pm on Thursday, 11 December 2025. The victim, who was delivering pizza at the time, was injured in what Gardaí describe as an unprovoked attack. He sustained a cut to the head and was taken to Beaumont Hospital, where his injuries were confirmed to be non-life-threatening.
The Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit has carried out a technical examination of the scene. The motive for the attack remains unclear.
A Garda spokesperson has urged anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have relevant footage—including dashcam recordings—from the Templeview Estate area between 7.30pm and 8.15pm to come forward. Information can be provided to Coolock Garda Station on 01 666 4200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
Second Shooting Reported in Ballymun Area
In a separate but potentially related incident, a 20-year-old man was injured in a shooting in the Ballymun area on Friday evening. The initial shots were fired near a Centra shop in Coultry, after which the victim attempted to flee and was subsequently shot at in Coultry Terrace, Dublin 9. He narrowly avoided serious injury and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
A short time later, a vehicle was found on fire on Kilbarron Road, Dublin 5, which Gardaí believe may be linked to the shooting. Both scenes were preserved for technical examination, and investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to either incident and are seeking any camera footage from the Coultry Terrace area between 6.50pm and 8.10pm, as well as from Kilbarron Road during the same timeframe.
Authorities have reiterated their request for public cooperation as inquiries continue into both incidents.
