The International Day of Nowruz, observed on March 21, is a very significant and much-awaited global New Year celebration that occurs on the spring equinox, marking the approach of spring and representing nature’s rebirth and regeneration. The United Nations designated a holiday on March 21, 2010, called as ‘Nauryz,’ ‘Navruz,’ or ‘Nowrouz,’ translated ”new day,” which dates back at least 3,000 years and is enjoyed by approximately 300 million people worldwide. However, it is mostly celebrated in Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq’s Kurdish territories, Turkey, Syria, India, and across Central Asia. The Nowruz Day festival seeks to promote ideals of peace, friendship, and harmony, connecting people all over the world.
