FRA beat POL 3-1, Mbappe scores twice.

France defeated Poland 3-1 in the third Round of 16 fixture in the 2022 World Cup, with Kylian Mbappe scoring twice. The 23-year-old is the first player in World Cup history to have scored eight goals before the age of 24. Olivier Giroud also made history when he scored in the first half to surpass Thierry Henry as France’s all-time top goal scorer.

Poland’s Robert Lewandowski scored from the penalty spot, but it was too late for the Group C runner-ups to mount a comeback. 

Impressive England crush Senegal 3-0, set up quarter-final clash with France.

England’s free-scoring run continued as they defeated Senegal 3-0 in their Round of 16 encounter at Al Bayt Stadium to advance to the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup 2022.

In another goalfest for the English, Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane, and Bukayo Saka scored for them against the African champs. England has already scored 12 goals in the tournament, matching their best-ever World Cup tally from the previous edition in Russia.
