The 10th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will take place from 7 February to 8 March 2026, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Defending champions India will aim to retain the title under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav.
The month-long tournament will feature 20 teams, mirroring the expanded format used in the 2024 edition hosted by the West Indies and the United States. Italy will make its debut in a major ICC men’s event, marking a significant milestone for the sport’s global growth.
Teams will be split into four groups of five, with each group containing no more than three Full Member nations.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super 8s, followed by the semi-finals and final, as the competition builds toward crowning the next T20 world champions.
