“If God gave me one wish…. I want to go back and be with my family,” says Sameer Syed

Sameer Syed, husband of Seema Banu says that if God allows him another life, he has only one wish; which is to be with Seema Banu and their children.

Sameer said that every moment he wish to could go back to that good life with his wife and children. He also said that the unfortunate incident still haunt him like a nightmare.

Sameer Syed’s wife Seema (37), daughter Asfira Reza (11), and son Faisan Syed (6), were found strangled to death on October 28 at their home in Llewellyn Court, Ballinteer.

The Garda’s investigation into this is ongoing.

“If there was somehow, someway I could get everything back – if it was possible to go back in time and just get everything back – if was possible I would like to do it.”

“If God gave me one wish – only one wish in my life – I want to go back and be with my family happy.” Sameer said.

Seema wanted to come and stay here (in Ireland), so Sameer made it clear that he still wanted to stay in Ireland.

“Everyday I think it’s a nightmare and if I wake up everything will be like before. I get up and think it’s just some bad dream. I get up and think things are back to normal. I talk to my wife and kids everyday,” Sameer said as he broke down in tears.

Sameer still believes that his family is still with him.

Sameer said it was an Islamic tradition to bury the dead at the place of burial, which is why the burial took place here.

Sameer is working as a software developer in Ireland. Seema and her children came to Ireland last February.

“My wife and my family when they came to Ireland they came to dream we would settle down [here] so I will try my best to make their dream come through….. Apart from the Sharia it was my wife’s dream to settle here and that’s why I did the ceremony here.” He said.

“She was very happy I think. We had a short time (in Ireland).” he added.

Sameer said that he loved the kids very much, and they loved him back like anything. He pray and wish that such a tragedy does not happen in any family.

Sameer thanked everyone who supported his family.
