India’s women’s kabaddi team captured their second straight Women’s Kabaddi World Cup crown with a 35–28 victory over Chinese Taipei in the final in Dhaka on November 24.
The defending champions dominated the tournament, winning all their group-stage matches before defeating Iran 33–21 in the semi-finals. Chinese Taipei also entered the final unbeaten, overcoming hosts Bangladesh 25–18 in their semi-final.
In the title clash, India held firm under pressure to retain the trophy. The tournament featured 11 participating nations, underscoring the fast-growing global reach of women’s kabaddi.
