India’s Tour of Australia; Kohli’s absence will favour Australia- Michael Vaughan

The men in blues has already reached Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy along with three ODIs and T20 matches.

Recently there has been talks raising from several parts of the cricket world as the former England skipper Michael Vaughan made a comment regarding India’s tour to Australia.

Michael Vaughan tweeted that Australia will easily win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in the absence of the Indian captain Virat Kohli.

Kohli has already gained permission from the BCCI to travel back in between the series as his wife, actor Anushka Sharma is due for delivery in January.

After the first test match of the four-match series, Kohli will be heading his way back to India.

In the absence of Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane might lead the Indian team in whites for the last three test matches.  

However, reports say that Kohli will be available for all the matches till the second test. Which means that the Kohli will feature in three ODI and rest of the T20s as well.

The tour will start with the three ODIs. The first two matches will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground on November 27 and 29. The third match will be at Manuka Oval, Canberra on December 2.

Right after the ODIs there will be a three-match T20 series. The first match will be on December 2 at Manuka Oval, Canberra and the last two will be at the SCG on December 6 and 8.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy with the pink-ball Test in Adelaide will start from December 17, followed by the Tests at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on December 26, the SCG on January 7 and the Gabba on January 15.
