IndiGo has launched 19 new connecting flights to Europe

New Delhi, India – IndiGo, a private airline, has launched 19 new connecting flights to Europe. Turkish Airlines has agreed to codeshare the new services.

Both companies can market the same flights using their respective identification codes, according to the codeshare agreement. IndiGo will provide connections to Portugal and Switzerland. Turkish Airlines can share their services with IndiGo flights because they serve almost every European country.

IndiGo flights from India will connect Lisbon and Porto in Portugal with Basel and Geneva in Switzerland via the Turkish city of Istanbul.

IndiGo stated that these new routes and frequencies will provide customers with additional options for travel between India and Europe during the upcoming holiday season.

Vinay Malhotra, the airline’s head of global sales, stated that there is a high demand for travel from India to Turkey, Switzerland, and Portugal.

In March of this year, India resumed international services that had been suspended for two years due to COVID.

The submission of Air Suvidha/Self Declaration forms was halted by the government.

This may lead to new decisions from India that will give more excitement to international passengers, according to airline industry insiders.
