Shift Worker Sunday, observed annually on the final Sunday of November, is an excellent opportunity to recognise the excellent job done by shift workers and their effect on our everyday lives.
On Shift Worker Sunday, we celebrate the employees who make daily sacrifices, frequently miss special occasions or events, and labour regardless of the time of day. But what exactly is a shift worker? A shift worker is someone who works at different times of the day, continually “shifting” or changing schedules that are generally outside of the conventional working day and timeframes.
