International travel must resume; Ireland ready to cooperate with European Union

Ireland’s Prime Minister Michael Martin has said he wants to resume international travel in collaboration with the European Union ahead of the country’s full opening.

This will be preceded by extensive Covid testing and contact tracing.

Inspections similar to such as in nursing homes and meat processing plants will be carried out on those arriving in Ireland from red listed countries.

He also hopes that those who want to go to the countries on the redlist will be able to check in advance.

The Prime Minister has said that he wants to resume international travels in collaboration with the European Union amid the spread of Covid in the country.

Speaking at an event hosted by RTE, Michael Martin shared his hopes for the resumption of international travel.
