Ireland has a new millionaire after a player won a life-changing sum of money in Saturday night’s Lotto Plus Raffle.
Typically, the Lotto Plus Raffle awards between 60 and 120 participants with €500, but one extremely lucky winner received a whopping €1 million during the special raffle event.
The National Lottery has verified that the winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased last Thursday, August 17, at the Centra on Main Street, Emyvale, Co. Monaghan. The winning raffle ticket was number 3249.
The sum was won when each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn in Saturday night’s draw were placed into a random raffle, with one ticket receiving an additional prize of €1 million.
Glyn Williams, the owner of the business that sold the winning ticket, expressed his happiness about the win.
