Tel Aviv: After a recent attack carried out by Hamas, the situation in the Israel-Palestine region escalated dramatically, leading to a declaration of war. The gravity of the situation worsened when Hamas militants entered major Israeli cities, initiating direct attacks.
This offensive by Hamas resulted in the tragic death of a mayor and numerous civilian injuries. Disturbing footage emerged depicting Hamas militants entering urban areas and indiscriminately firing upon civilians.
In response to thousands of rockets fired by Hamas into Israeli territory, Israel officially declared a state of war. Israel’s leadership emphasised the seriousness of the situation, characterising it as an actual war rather than merely an operation or a series of conflicts. The Israeli Prime Minister emphasised that Hamas had launched an extreme and unprecedented attack against Israel and its people. Reports from Israel’s N12 News indicated that at least 22 individuals lost their lives in the Hamas attack, according to the Israeli ambulance service.
Israel’s Reshet 13 news group reported that five Palestinians lost their lives in the Israeli town of Sderot, and several Israelis were taken hostage in the southern town of Ofakim. Hamas militants employed various means, including motorcycles, SUVs, and paragliders, to infiltrate southern Israeli towns. Disturbing images and videos of these attacks have been widely circulated on social media platforms.
The tension has prompted Indians residing in Israel to seek refuge in bunkers. Indians in Israel have described the situation created by Hamas as one of unprecedented terror. With Hamas militants infiltrating Israeli territory and launching attacks, the broader West Asia region finds itself on the brink of a full-scale war. Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has formally acknowledged the gravity of the situation, stating that they are indeed facing a state of war.
Hamas has claimed responsibility for unexpectedly firing 5,000 rockets targeting Israeli cities. Subsequently, Hamas militants entered urban areas within Israel. In response to these developments, Israel has indicated its readiness for a protracted conflict. Hamas has launched a series of rocket attacks on Israeli cities, while armed groups associated with Hamas crossed the border into Israel, employing machine guns to open fire indiscriminately. Israel has reported widespread shelling and the endangerment of its civilian population.
