Gaza: The Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City was obliterated by an Israeli airstrike, resulting in a tragic loss of life with over 500 casualties, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. This hospital played a crucial role in providing medical care to thousands of individuals injured during the recent Israeli attacks on Gaza.
As US President Joe Biden arrives in Israel today, his visit is met with mixed reactions. While Israel intensified its offensive prior to his arrival, Hamas expressed opposition, suggesting that Biden is aligning with Israeli interests. Hamas spokesman Hashem Qassam accused the US of complicity in the conflict and alleged that Biden’s visit aims to support the ongoing crisis in Palestine.
During his visit, Joe Biden is scheduled to hold discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Additionally, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced that the United States and Israel have reached an agreement to provide much-needed aid, including medicine and food, to the people of Gaza who are suffering due to shortages. Blinken emphasised that Biden’s visit underscores the US’s commitment to Israel’s security and solidarity with the region.
