Joe Biden warns Trump; If the election results are not approved, more people will die of Covid

WASHINGTON: US President-elect Joe Biden has warned that the country’s Covid death toll could rise further if Trump is not ready to accept the election results.

Biden warns that Trump’s delay in handing over power could lead to an increase in Covid deaths in the country, citing issues such as making vaccines available to Americans.

A severe winter is coming. Biden said the situation will get worse if preventive measures had not been taken now.

Biden’s response came after Donald Trump re-emerged, declaring himself the winner of the presidential election. He said Trump’s refusal to hand over power would hamper his actions and shame the country itself.

He called on the US Congress to enact new relief legislation for the elimination of Covid and to work together with business and labor leaders to boost the economy.

Millions have lost their jobs in the United States since the Covid epidemic. In addition, about 2.5 million people were dead because of the disease. It is in this context that the transfer of power from Trump to Biden must take place.

Meanwhile, U.S. National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien said the transfer of power to a new administration under Biden would be facilitated. Biden will take office on January 20.
