“Last Chance: Voter Registration for Referendum Now Open!”

Dublin: Today, February 20th, marks the final day for eligible Irish citizens to register to vote in the two upcoming referendums scheduled for March 8th.

For those already enlisted in the voter register, it’s an opportunity to verify their inclusion in the register. Residents of Dublin, Fingal, Dún Laoghaire, and South Dublin county councils can register or update their details via http://voter.ie. Additionally, residents of counties outside Dublin can utilise the link https://www.checktheregister.ie/en-IE/new-request for registration.

The deadline for adding names to the voter register for the March 8th referendum is 11:59 p.m. on February 20th. However, for the March local/EU elections, the registration deadline extends until May.

All individuals aged 18 and above residing in Ireland possess the right to vote in local elections. Dublin residents can register via http://www.voter.ie. It’s important to note that only Irish citizens are eligible to participate in the referendum.
