Dublin: Lidl Ireland has been named ‘Retailer of the Year’ for the first time at the 2024 Irish Quality Food Awards, securing a record 104 medals, including 29 gold, 35 silver, and 40 bronze. The awards celebrate excellence in food and drink production, with Lidl also winning ‘Drinks Retailer of the Year’ and ‘Private Label Range of the Year’.
Notable gold winners included Lidl’s Deluxe Irish Cream Liqueur, Bitterol Aperitif, and private label sushi range, while their spirits and beef steaks also earned top accolades. Kevin Duffy, Lidl’s Chief Commercial Officer, praised the team’s dedication to delivering quality products at competitive prices, highlighting the crucial role of Irish suppliers in their success.
