Match 11, Sun Risers Hyderabad beat Delhi Capitals by 15 runs

In the match between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH), SRH won by 15 runs. DC opted to bowl first after winning the toss.

Comparing to the previous matches of the season, 11th match of Dream 11 IPL, 2020 stood out with a fantastic bowling exhibition from both SRH and DC.

By batting first SRH scored 162 with the loss of four wickets. Captain David Warner scored 45 runs of 33 balls with three boundaries and two sixes.

Opening English wicket keeper batsman of SRH, Jonny Bairstow scored 53 of 48 with two fours and one six.

Kane Williamson (41) and debutant Abdul Samad (12) played some fantastic shots and took the SRH to a fighting total of 162.

For DC, Amit Mishra and Kagiso Rabada took two wickets each in their four overs and the rest of the DC bowlers went wicket less.

On the other side DC managed to score only 147 with the lost of 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Delhi lost their opener Prithvi Shaw for just 2 runs. It was Bhuvneshwar Kumar who took the wicket of the DC opener.

Along with Shikhar Dhawan (34), the DC Captain Shreyas Iyer (17), Rishabh Pant (28), Shimron Hetmyer (21), Marcus Stoinis (11), and Rabada (15) where the other players who helped DC to reach 147.

SRH bowlers were on the top of the game, out of the four bowlers used, only Abhishek Sharma went wicket less. Bhuvneshwar Kumar managed to pick two wickets by giving away 25 runs of his full quota of overs.

The Afghan spiner Rashid Khan was the top amongst the SRH bowlers. He managed to pick three DC wickets by giving away just 14 runs in his four overs.

Rashid was the Man of the Match for his fantastic figures with the ball.

“I don’t put pressure on myself that I have to create an impact. I just keep myself calm and composed and focus on what I can do. I just go out there and do the basics right and enjoy the game. I bowled quicker today, when I started and bowled my first ball, I realized it,” he said during the post match presentation ceremony.
