Barcelona’s Lionel Messi holds the record of most goals scored by a player for a single club. Messi has surpassed the football legend Pele to set a record. With this, Messi scored 644 goals for Barcelona. Messi broke the record of 643 goals scored by Pele for the Brazilian club Santos.

Messi’s record was against Real Valladolid in La Liga. Messi broke the record with a goal in the 65th minute. Barcelona defeated Valladolid by three goals in the match.

Pele scored 643 goals in 665 matches for Santos, while Messi has scored 644 goals in 749 matches.
