Met Éireann says today will be the coldest winter night ever; temperature will drop to -7C

DUBLIN: Met Éireann says it was a cold night in Ireland. Temperature is likely to drop to -7C overnight. Therefore, Met Éireann had warned that Tuesday would experience the lowest temperatures in winter.

Ireland will experience colder nights in the coming days as night temperatures are likely to remain at this level. The lowest temperature in Ireland on Monday night was -3C. Throughout this week it is going to drop to -7C.

At the same time, Met Éireann warns of rain and snow in various parts of Leinster and Munster, and isolated showers in Ulster.

Temperatures in Munster and Leinster range from -1C to -3C degrees, and in Ulster and Connacht they range from -5C to -7C.

Met Éireann predicts that Wednesday will also be very cold. The minimum temperature will be between -2C to +2C.

On Thursday morning, rain, sleet and snow will continue to move southwards. Met Éireann says it will snow in Ulster and Connacht and temperatures will be 2-4C during the day.
