Migrant Nurses Ireland formed a Professional Forum to provide guidance to nurses in Ireland

DUBLIN: To provide migrant nurses working in Ireland with the necessary support and guidance on a variety of professional matters, the Migrant Nurses Ireland has formed a Professional Forum led by experts in their respective professions from the migrant nursing community.

The Professional Forum was set up to provide information and guidance to Indian nurses working in Ireland on work-related matters such as promotions, MSc and PhD qualifications, and clinical specialization.

The Professional Forum is available to nurses on the social media platform. In the Facebook group called Professional Forum, nurses will have the opportunity to ask their questions and get answers from experts. In addition, once every three months, expert-led lectures and webinars on topics useful to migrant nurses will be organised.

The official launch of the Professional Forum, as well as the first webinar, is scheduled for Saturday, June 26th from 12.30-14.00. Timothy Frawley, Assistant Professor at University College Dublin, will address Migrant Nurses in Ireland on the topic of ‘Health and wellness of migrant healthcare workers during COVID-19 and beyond’.

The webinar will be chaired by Dr. Suja Somanadhan, Assistant Professor and Head of Subject in Children’s Nursing, at the UCD School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems, University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland.
