Dublin: Minister James Brown is set to announce a €1 billion housing infrastructure plan this week as part of the government’s efforts to address Ireland’s ongoing housing crisis. The initiative will be delivered through the newly established Housing Infrastructure Investment Fund.
The fund is designed to unlock housing sites across the country by financing critical infrastructure projects that remove barriers to residential construction. Priority will be given to projects that can be delivered quickly and enable the rapid development of new homes.
Proposals are expected to be submitted this week by local authorities and the Land Development Agency, with selected projects fast-tracked for implementation.
