Mumbai Curfew till January 2

Following several instances of public order disturbances presenting a threat to human life and property, Mumbai police have declared a curfew in effect until January 2. The curfew includes the restriction of public gatherings such as weddings, funerals, and processions that disrupt public order. Vishal Thakur, Deputy Commissioner of Mumbai Police’s Mission Department, stated that any type of gathering, procession, demonstration, or use of loudspeakers will be prohibited in the city until January 2. The same order is currently being extended until December 17, while a weapons ban is in effect in Mumbai from December 4 to January 2.
