Mumbai defeats Rajasthan by 57 runs; Suryakumar Yadav became Player of the Match

Steve Smith and company still struggles to win a match outside Sharjah Cricket Stadium. In the game against Mumbai Indians at Abu Dhabi, the men in pink fails to cross the 193 run victory mark.

By batting first MI hosted a total of 193 with the loss of four wickets. Suryakumar Yadav was on top of his game today and scored 79 runs of 47 balls and remained not out for the MI.

MI Captain Rohit Sharma scored 35 of 23 deliveries. A little fire power from Hardik Pandya took Mumbai to a handsome total. Hardik scored 30 of 19 balls.

Shreyas Gopal took two wickets in consecutive balls to get rid of Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan (0). Jofra Archer and youngster Kartik Tyagi took onw wickets each.

Rajasthan’s chasing ended up with 136 runs on the board as the ran out of wickets in the first ball of the 18th over.

Even though Jose Buttler (70) tried his best to carry the team over the winning score, MI bowlers were having the last laugh.

Jasprit Bhumrah took four wickets for 20 runs and paved way for MI’s victory. Trent Boult and James Pattinson took two wickets each, whereas Rahul Chahar and Kiron Pollard took one wicket each.

Suryakumar Yadav was named as the player of the match.
