DUBLIN: The government has declared NCT as an essential service. So there is no need to fear that car testing will fail at the level five restrictions.
The level 5 restrictions will not have an impact on NCT services. The government has decided to make NCT an essential service and make all the centers fully operational. However, customers attending the test are advised to follow strict safety protocols at the testing centers.
Tests were suspended earlier this year and some customers were given a four-month extension. The extended date only applies to vehicles with a testing date of March 28, 2020 or later.
Most customers have been given a new test date. The NCT informed them to appear for the test as per their new date.
