DUBLIN: The deadline to pay the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) annual retention fee has been extended to February 28th.
The NMBI has confirmed that the deadline of January 31 has been extended by one month due to COVID-19 circumstances.
NMBI said more than 50,000 nurses have already completed the renewal process.
Many nurses have complained that the online renewal system involves complicated procedures to complete the procedure. It was also found that some people had to spend about an hour to complete the new renewal process. Nurses and midwives have also called for steps to be taken to facilitate the registration renewal process at least next year.
