Sligo: The Onam celebration under the auspices of the Indian Association of Sligo will be held on September 2 at Bee park, Manerhamilton.
Public Relations Officer Albert Kuriakos informed that all the preparations for the celebrations, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., have been completed.
The highlight of this year is the men’s Vadam Vali, which is held between six countries, and the two women’s teams alternate.
A 40-member committee is working under the leadership of President Dr. Vimala Sharma for the success of the Onam celebration, which includes all the unique dishes of Onam.
Renowned culinary expert Martin Varghese is preparing the feast this time.
