Orange Alert Issued for Cork and Kerry Due to Heavy Rain and Flooding Risk

Dublin: An orange weather alert has been issued for Cork and Kerry on Saturday, with forecasts of heavy rain, potential flooding, and travel disruptions. The Met Office has also placed counties Clare, Limerick, Waterford, and Galway under a yellow warning, effective from midnight Friday until 11 p.m. on Saturday.

The alert warns of heightened risks of flooding, particularly along rivers and coastal areas, with a high likelihood of localised flooding in southern counties. Residents are urged to exercise caution and prepare for hazardous conditions.

Today’s forecast indicates widespread rain and drizzle, with predominantly humid and cloudy weather across the region.
