Dublin: The Department of Agriculture has issued a Condition Orange Forest Fire Warning as temperatures are set to reach up to 27°C this weekend. Visitors to forests and parks are urged to avoid barbecues and campfires, with prolonged dry weather and low-to-moderate winds heightening wildfire risks.
The alert follows ongoing efforts by Dublin Fire Brigade to contain the Ticknick gorse fire in Cherrywood, which has been burning for four days. Smoke from the blaze has affected visibility along the M50, while firefighting remains difficult due to rough terrain and limited water access.
- Monday–Tuesday: Warm with sunny spells and scattered heavy showers, mostly in the west and south.
- Rest of week: Mix of sun and showers, slightly cooler with highs of 17°C–21°C.
