The government has extended the Aadhaar-PAN linking deadline by three months, from March 31 to June 30, 2023. According to the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), all unlinked PAN cards will become inoperative on July 1, 2023.
According to a press release from the Income Income Tax Department, “the period for linking PAN and Aadhaar has been extended to 30th June, 2023, wherein anyone can reveal their Aadhaar to the specified authorities for Aadhaar-PAN linkage without fearing penalties.”
