People with allergies are advised to avoid Pfizer vaccine

LONDON: British authorities have advised people with serious allergy problems not to use the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

The recommendation was made after two health workers who had received the vaccine developed allergies.

After taking the vaccine, they experienced skin discomfort and shortness of breath. Both have persistent allergy problems.

The National Health Service has also suggested that those getting the vaccine should be tested for allergies from now on. Experts say such cases of allergies are common in any vaccine and should not be a concern.
