Letterkenny: Pope Leo has appointed Bishop Niall Coll (62) as the new Bishop of Raphoe, marking the Pope’s first episcopal appointment in Ireland since his election.
Bishop Coll announced the news to parishioners following morning Mass at St Eunan’s Cathedral in Letterkenny. A native of St Johnston, East Donegal, he has served as Bishop of Ossory since January 2023.
