Relentless Rain Persists as Cyclone Lee Approaches Ireland, Bringing Stormy Weather

Dublin faces unsettling weather with Cyclone Lee approaching Ireland.

Persistent rain over the past three days in Dublin is expected to temporarily ease up on Monday, but the Met Office has issued a warning that unsettled weather conditions will return in the upcoming days. Cyclone Lee is anticipated to advance towards Ireland, bringing with it the prospect of heavy downpours in Dublin and other regions of the country.

The Met Office has indicated that additional weather warnings can be anticipated throughout the week as the ‘tail end’ of Cyclone Lee is projected to reach Ireland by Tuesday. Tuesday will likely see widespread rain and strong winds, with even more rain expected on Wednesday. Rainfall is predicted to intensify further on Thursday, extending into Friday and the weekend.

Cyclone Lee has already caused considerable disruption in the United States and Canada, and the Met Office is monitoring the potential impact of its remnants on Ireland. Originating off the coast of Africa, Hurricane Lee traversed the Atlantic and is now making its way towards Europe.
