DUBLIN: Online financial application firm Revolut is launching car insurance in Ireland. The scheme will launch in the coming weeks. Ahead of that, the company has opened a waitlist for Revolut customers.
The company has stated that applications will be accepted entirely on the basis of the app. The company said that the entire process will be completely digital. It will take less than five minutes for a customer. The company said that it will offer a premium with more concessions to customers who install the company’s smart driving device in their cars.
According to General Manager Balazs Gati, the new system will allow for seamless insurance service.
In Ireland, the company has over two million customers and has recently introduced loans and credit cards. The company also announced plans to switch customers to Irish iBAN numbers in January.
