Dublin: Live broadcasts of Holy Masses from churches across Ireland officially commence today. The national broadcaster RTÉ will air its first service from St Mary’s Church in Navan at 11am.
The broadcasts will be produced by Scratch Films, an independent production company that signed a three-year agreement with RTÉ in October. The move marks a significant shift, ending more than 30 years of studio-based Mass productions from Donnybrook.
Archbishop Eamonn Martin welcomed the development, praising the opportunity to connect more effectively with parish communities throughout the country.
