Sania Mirza, one of India’s most famous athletes, lost the Australian Open Mixed Doubles final on Friday, ending her legendary Grand Slam run. The Brazilian team of Luisa Stefani and Rafael Matos triumphed in the final, defeating the Indian duo of Sania and Rohan Bopanna 7-6 , 6-2, to win their first Australian Open championship. Sania approached the Brazilian couple after the game, congratulating them on their well-deserved victory. Sania had previously said that she would conclude her Grand Slam career with the Australian Open in 2023. The 36-year-old athlete, on the other hand, plans to compete in a few more competitions before calling it a day.
